E-Cigarette Emerges More Effective Than Chantix In Triggering Off Smoking Cessation
Date: 16th September 2009
Sources make it apparent that FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) has recognized around 300 reports of suicide and attempted suicide associated with the anti-smoking medication chantix. Further, it has been revealed by Dr. Michael Siegel that e-cigarettes are available in the market for more than three years now and that no unpleasant side- effects have been reported so far, on the other hand post marketing reports of the smoking cessation drug chantix showed that it yielded potential adverse side-effects. Thus, it becomes obvious that e-cigarettes or electronic cigarettes may prove to be an advantageous alternative to prescription-based quit smoking products such as chantix.
Pertaining to e-cigarettes, it is known that an electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is free of any tar or tobacco and unlike the common cigarettes available in the market that consist of around 4000 poisonous chemical ingredients, an electronic cigarette contain only 20 ingredients and none of them are found to be responsible for causing cancer. It has also been revealed by sources that though FDA has not proved the harmfulness of these e-cigarettes, it is now undertaking a fear campaign to change public opinion on these lifesaving anti-smoking products.
Further, it is known that a smoker puffs an e-cigarette in the similar manner in which he inhales a regular cigarette and that pure nicotine is contained inside the e-cigarette in a suspension of food safe additives. However, in e-cigarettes, the smoker inhales and exhales water vapor that looks like smoke and the amount of nicotine contained in e-cigarettes depends on the strength of e-cigarette cartridges.
