Date: 5th September, 2007
According to a latest revelation, a Dallas musician who used the anti-smoking drug chantix to accelerate smoking cessation, had thrashed his girlfriend and also knocked at her neighbor's door before being shot at. As soon as the news relating to the abnormal behavior of the musician reached the ears of his friends and acquaintances, they are at a loss and clueless regarding the abnormal behavior of the deceased musician.
Acquaintances of the musician Mr. Albrecht are speculating that chantix, the quit smoking drug used by the musician might be responsible for his behavioral changes and even Ryann Rathbone, the girlfriend of the deceased cites that chantix is likely to be responsible as the musician had never been abusive to her in the past.
Mr. Albrecht, the musician played keyboard as well as guitar for the music bands Sorta and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians and further it was known that after physically abusing his girlfriend as he kicked at his girlfriend's neighbor's door at 9000 block, Santa Clara Drive the neighbor got angry and shot him to death. Police sources reveal that the neighbors shot at him in order to drive him away from the place but the bullets striked him right at the head and led to his death.
Research results released by the Food and Drug Administration, as well as the manufacturer Pfizer have never associated the administration of chantix to violent behavior. However, Dr. Bryon Adinoff, a UT Southwestern Medical Center addiction expert pronounces that if any other material is mixed with chantix, the drug might show unexpected results.
