St. Mary's County Health Department Offers Chantix For Free

To help people quit smoking effectively; St. Mary's County Health Department is reportedly offering two smoking cessation programs to people this year, namely, "Smoke Free For Life" as well as "Quit Coaches". It is also known that the smokers participating in the anti-smoking program "Quit Coaches" will receive free Chantix tablets to combat the nicotine withdrawal symptoms.
According to sources, classes for the anti-smoking program "Smoke Free for Life" have already started from 5 th April at Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad and the second "Smoke Free for Life" classes are scheduled to become operative from today, 13 th April 2008. All the people participating in this quit smoking program are receiving Nicoderm® patches for free.
With regard to the second smoking cessation program "Quit Coaches", it is known that this program is especially meant for the smoking addicts who are desirous of taking part in the anti-smoking program in accordance with their own convenience and are eager to get hold of person-to-person support in order to trigger off smoking cessation . Health department sessions for the anti-smoking program "Quit Coaches" have become operational from 7 th April and in this specific anti-smoking program, it is scheduled that the participants would meet a quit coach for 30 minutes each week and it would last for a period of 12 weeks.
