Pfizer States That Chantix Data Continuously Supports The Product's Safety
Date: 22nd October 2008
According to a revelation by Chantix maker Pfizer Incl., available details on Chantix, the company's anti-smoking medication, make it apparent that the medicine is entirely safe and effective for triggering off smoking cessation. However, it is known that Pfizer has come forward to assert Chantix safety and efficacy after a consumer watch dog group warned people on risks shown by Chantix.
With regard to Chantix warnings being made apparent by a consumer watch dog group, it is known that the nonprofit Institute for Safe Medication Practices recently released an analysis stating that in the first quarter of 2008, people reported more than 1000 health problems, including 50 deaths, to the regulators in US.
Pfizer spokeswoman Kristen Neese reveals that on the basis of all Pfizer data, including clinical trials, the company directly supports the safety and effectiveness of its anti-smoking medicine Chantix, which is considered a suitable option in assisting people to quit smoking.
