Researchers Evaluate Chantix Effective Against Alcohol Addiction

Researchers have discovered that the Pfizer manufactured anti-smoking medication chantix found to work effectively against smoking addiction in adults, can also help people quit alcohol addiction. Further, the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center physician Dr. John Spangler commented that with regard to chantix efficacy against alcohol addiction, even though long term trials haven't been conducted on human beings, there are sufficient testimonials that point out that chantix can indeed work against the addiction to alcoholic beverages.
However, the physician Dr. John Spangler added that chantix shouldn't be observed as a cure for alcoholism. He also made it apparent that there is no magical remedy for alcohol or any other kind of addiction but chantix can assist against alcohol addiction if used in combination with group therapy, counseling and other specific programs.
